Freelance HR Manager Social Relations – Region Brussels

For a leading international organization headquartered in Brussels, we are seeking an experienced Freelance HR Manager with extensive expertise in managing Social Relations. In this critical role, you will act as the primary point of contact for union interactions and labor representatives, playing a key part in fostering a positive social climate within the organization. You will report directly to the CHRO.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with unions and labor representatives.
  • Leading collective bargaining negotiations and ensuring compliance with social legislation.
  • Acting as a strategic advisor to senior management and the CEO on social issues, collective bargaining agreements, and employment law challenges.
  • Developing and implementing a social relations strategy.
  • Optimizing HR processes related to reorganizations, workload discussions, and improvements in working conditions that contribute to a positive social climate.
  • Managing labor disputes, mediating in social conflicts, and ensuring clear communication between all parties involved.
  • Representing the organization in meetings with unions and works councils (CPBW, labor representatives).
  • Overseeing social-legal cases in collaboration with external legal advisors.

 

Your Profile

  • Extensive experience in managing social relations within the industrial sector.
  • Experience in the logistics sector is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of labor and social law, with up-to-date awareness of the latest legislative changes.
  • Trilingual: Dutch, French, and English.
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive mindset, and solution-oriented approach.

  • Duration: 5 months, with the possibility of extension.
