For a local government organization in the Flemish Brabant region, we are looking for an experienced Freelance HR Business Partner/ HR Generalist to temporarily support both the HR team (4 FTE) and the internal communications team (4 FTE). In this strategic and hands-on role, you will critically assess the optimal allocation of resources, priorities and focus areas for both teams. You will report directly to the General Director.
Your responsibilities:
- Coach, inspire and guide both the HR and communications teams.
- Provide direction and support to employees in resolving complex issues.
- Prepare, analyze and follow up on reporting.
- Optimize and professionalize HR processes.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Take the lead in ongoing and new projects such as onboarding, offboarding, and leadership development programs.
- Initiate and manage complex HR cases.
- Actively participate in the management team and contribute to broader organizational policy.
Your profile:
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience as an HR Business Partner/ HR Generalist in shaping HR and internal communication policies.
- Strong background in coaching and sharing HR expertise.
- Experience with change management and HR improvement projects is essential.
- Experience within the public sector is a plus.
- Master’s degree or equivalent through experience.
- Fluent in Dutch.
- Hands-on, operationally strong and able to work independently.
- Results-driven and an excellent communicator with an inspiring and transparent approach.
