Freelance Payroll Specialist – Region Roeselare (Ref. 1618)

For the Belgian division of an international service provider, we are looking for an experienced Freelance Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will report directly to the HR Director and support the HR team in managing the full payroll cycle for both blue-collar and white-collar employees.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end-to-end payroll processing (A–Z) using Acerta Connect.
  • Accurately calculate and process holiday pay and year-end bonuses.
  • Monitor, analyze and manage the time registration system.
  • Process year-end bonuses within the cafeteria plan.
  • Manage HR administration, including social documents, contracts, reporting and maintaining up-to-date personnel files (from onboarding to offboarding).
  • Act as a sparring partner for management and a point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related questions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute actively to strategic HR projects (such as pay transparency and performance management).

 

Your profile:

  • Proven experience with end-to-end payroll processing and time tracking systems.
  • Ability to independently calculate holiday pay and year-end bonuses (must have).
  • Experience with Dots (Attentia) is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of social legislation.
  • Fluent in Dutch with a good command of French.
  • Strong analytical skills, hands-on mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
