For the Belgian production site (300 fte) of a global, publicly listed company, we are looking for an experienced Freelance HRIS Project Manager. In this versatile role, you will work closely with the local Plant Director and European HR Director and play a key role in optimising and further professionalising HR, payroll and HRIS.
Your responsibilities:
- Analyse and optimise the existing HR and payroll processes, HR organisation and interfaces between the various HR systems, with a view to building a future-proof and Lean HR organisation.
- Translate business and end-user needs into functional and practical solutions.
- Design, propose and implement the new organisational structure and processes, from concept through to implementation, with an impact on both the organisation and the HR team.
- Coordinate collaboration between HR, IT, HRIS and external suppliers and act as the central point of contact for all stakeholders involved.
- Lead change management within the local teams through clear communication, documentation, training and by driving the adoption of new processes and systems.
- Advise and challenge management on organisational design, workforce resizing, governance, culture strengthening, change communication and implementation.
- Operationally manage, support and coach 3 fte: 2 Payroll Officers and 1 Employer Branding Specialist.
- Act as an operational business partner for employees, trade unions and managers on complex HR matters.
Your profile:
- Extensive experience as a project manager and change manager within HR, payroll and HRIS projects.
- Strong experience in HR process optimisation, including payroll, HRIS solutions, time registration systems and HR reporting.
- Thorough knowledge of employment and social legislation.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Hands-on, empathetic and structured, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels throughout change initiatives.
- Strong strategic insight combined with an on operational mindset and the ability to translate complex challenges into concrete solutions.
